With reference to your letter (33800/7/34) of the 8th (2)

August last covering a copy of a despatch from the Governor

of Hong Kong regarding an Ordinance to regulate the entry

and departure of persons into and out of the colony, I am

information of Secretary Sir Philip Cunliffe-lister, that

we have no observations to offer on the proposed Ordinance.
